Well as a designer you will always want to produce the best poster into the market. Yet once your poster is done here are the most fundamental questions that you might need to ask yourself before releasing it to your client.
Is your poster worth hanging on the wall?
Ideally your poster is the main thing that you will need to act as the focal point on your business. You will need anyone who walks into your office to notice it. Also you will need any client that goes that direction to be drawn to it. And so as a designer you might need to find out if your poster really appeals to you.
Does The Poster Have Killer Instincts?
Well we all have the cardinal rules that every other poster design must take after to be ideal. Starting from the type of paper used, the typography employed, to the balance of the images used, getting a great poster will definitely lie on this basic rules.
But what makes your poster unique is what counts for the killer instinct. So take your time to experiment and get yourself and exceptional unique poster design from the others. Ideally this may even require you to work from the unknown to known.
Did you listen to your client?
Usually you will not just design a poster without having in mind “who” it is intended for. If there is no multinational company putting pressure on your shoulders to beat their deadline, there is definitely a group you have in mind while designing.
